Boater's Guide App does not collect any private information from the user. There is no login or registration required. There is no data retention.

Boater's Guide App does use background location. The purpose is to help the user navigate the app based on current location. It also allows us to serve notifications on a geo-fence. If the phone is within a specified distance from the location, a notification appears on the phone.
The user can disable this feature if desired.

The location data is not recorded or submitted to Boaters Guide.
